With the weather being lousy and the seas rough, there have been fewer illegal crossings by immigrants. The last eight days have been a little better. On the 18th of March, the seas were calm, and 262 illegal immigrants made it to the UK. On another calmer day, 48 immigrants reached the UK. The total for 8 days is 310, and it takes the total number of illegal arrivals so far this year to 3,718.
Everything has gone quiet since the Labour government was smashing the gangs. But they failed, they seemed to get a couple, and someone will walk in and fill their boots. Then we had a change of Home Secretary to help with the immigrant situation, but she has been a disappointment.
The Labour government has promised to stop the boats, but so far it’s been useless. We paid France millions to help stop this, but what have they done? Slash 2 dingys.
But the UK is a paradise for these people. If they don’t get asylum, they get paid 10,000 pounds per person to leave. If they want to stay here, they can go to court and complain that the chicken nuggets in their home country are not as good as those in the UK, for their kids and get residency. The latter must make us the laughing stock of the world.
Take a look at the Australian border control. They would not allow boats to come in with illegal immigrants. Some people say they go against human rights, but they don’t care; they just keep their borders secure.
With a Prime Minister with no backbone and makes poor judgments, we cannot expect anything. The UK needs strong leadership if it has a future.
