Releasing sexual predators, violent criminals, domestic abusers and killers just seems unjust and not right for the victims of crime.
A judge sentences a person to a length of sentence suitable for the crime, and they should serve the time.

Miscalculations of prison populations were not scrutinised by the Conservatives, which leaves us now with a bulging prison population.
With prisons overcrowded and full in the next few months, the Labour government is now having to release prisoners early to make space in our jails.
In England and Wales, there are approximately 86,500 people in jails and just 2,400 spare places.
Murderers, child abusers, serious sexual crimes and terrorists will be excluded from the program, but manslaughter criminals will be allowed to be early released.
Many prisoners will have their release dates shortened under the Labour release program. It’s also noted some prisoners will be released after only serving 33% of their sentence.
But it’s like the case of PC Andy Harper’s killers that’s causing concern for his family and the public. The officer was fatally injured when he got attached to the back of a car and was dragged down a road as the killers fled the scene of a quad bike theft.
PC Andy Harper’s killers were sentenced to 13 years in prison in 2019 for manslaughter but, under this release scheme, could be released after serving half their sentence in 2027.
The Prime Minister has said he is looking at this case after the justice department said it was impossible to stop the release of PC Harper’s killers.
Also, the PM has stated he is looking at foreign prisoners. If they were sent home to finish their sentences could free up thousands of places.
But even releasing soft criminals has its problems. They did wrong and were sentenced to prison, so why should anyone get out 33% into their sentence?
They are starting to build 14,000 places by 2031. But Cecot high security prison in El Salvador took 7 months to be built, with a capacity of 40,000 prisoners. Temporary prisons could be built quickly and temporarily hold prisoners till new prisons are built.
The UK is just a soft touch for anyone. We allow anyone to enter our borders and treat them like kings. Prisoners can now be released serving just a third of their sentence.
We are just a soft touch for anything illegal and wrong. The Conservatives put us here as they put us in other situations.
